E-mail: Use the email menu item IF you have a specific trailduster email account and want to check your private mailbox. Not many people have these since they have their own email addresses. If you want one I will gladly set it up for you. Just send me an Email account request as to what user name you want used. I will set up an easy password which you can go in and change. The user name will be in the format: yourusername@traildusters.org This feature is available only for paid up members so if you let your membership lapse your mailbox will be closed. Another feature available is that I can forward your traildusters email address to your own personal email address so you can keep your personal address private. For instance, when you send email to Webmaster it is forwarded to my personal email address so I get it without having to check the trailduster inbox. I find it to be a very handy feature. This is the same theory I used when I set up the membership@traildusters.org email account. This address is forwarded to all current members. Please feel free to use this address for spreading the word on "stuff" but please no jokes. Some people don't like that. If you should forget or lose your password I can give you a new one that you can go in and change again but I do not have access to the one you set up. There has been 1 megabyte of storage space set aside for each mailbox. If you would like or need more storage space for your mailbox, contact the Webmaster. Please keep your mailbox cleaned out, ie read often and delete messages no longer needed as we do have a limited amount of space and I get warnings from our host when your mailbox is getting full. Traildusters Photo Album: The Traildusters Photo Album is the place where
the membership can have their photographs posted to a page so everybody
can share the memories of a particular ride or event. There are
only
a few simple rules, 1) the photo must be of a particular ride or
Traildusters
event. 2) It must the taken by a member of the Traildusters or their
friends
on a particular ride or event. 3) The photo must be a current photo of
the particular ride or event. When sending the photo, make sure you
tell
what the picture is and where and when it was taken. Then put "photo to
post" in the subject bar. To copy the photo - Highlight the photo by putting the cursor on it and left click. 2) Then right click, when the context drop down appears, click on "Save image as" 3) When the save image box appears, name the image and click save. Make sure you point to the file you want it saved to. That's it, you have saved the image. Bulletin Board: This is a new feature available to anyone to view and read but if you want to post or reply you MUST register. Click on the Bulletin Board menu item and it will take you to the sign in page. If you have not registered yet you need to click on register at the upper right corner area. The user ID is of your own choosing as well as the password. Please consider making the user name something other members will recognize in case they want to send you a message. Sometimes it is hard to figure out who is posting or replying. Keep this in mind.. First names only are confusing and not always identifiable. Newsletter: The Webmaster posts the Traildusters Newsletter after receiving it from the editor. If you want to submit something for it or request corrections please contact the Editor. After it is posted I will send out a group email alerting you it is online for viewing. |
